Alex Michele Photography is published on Style Me Pretty Living!

It's always so cool to be published! I am still grinning about this one since it's so dear to my heart. Check out a recent publication at SMP Living of my son's Peter Rabbit first birthday party by clicking on the icon above! My associate photographer ryan shot the lovely images (since hello, I had to be apart of the day!), I edited them, styled it and had AMAZING vendors help me put it all together. Shea Hopely Flowers is the BOMB--period. She infused every single idea I had and made it so much better. I loved her take on the whole rustic garden as she went over the top with the most amazing coral peonies placed in colorful watering cans, adding bits of fresh veggies everywhere and even had live moss on the tables,... truly it was breathtaking, almost like a portrait out of Beatrix Potter's book itself. Her talent is delivering high end flowers that are anything but boring and traditional, she always wow's me with her various organic petals that made this earthy party bright and lovely. I always love seeing Shea's flowers and even more on this special day celebrating my little bud! Luxe Party rentals supplied the gorgeous tables, chairs, linens, handmade bar, and even rustic dessert table. I love how Philip had everything I could ever want for this garden sorree at Jesse Ball DuPont Park/Treaty Oak Jacksonville- designer burlap table clothes, the PERFECT periwinkle Peter Rabbit blue linens and the most amazing rustic breakfast type bar for the desserts. It was just perfect for a setting at Treaty Oak in downtown Jacksonville. They even supplied the "cool" galvanized trash cans so everything looked pretty from head to toe! Phillip is always great to work with and it always growing his inventory for his brides and clients. Seriously if you are local, you have to check them out! My last favorite local vendor was without a doubt, the cake pop shop of jacksonville. Jennie's sweet take on Mr. McGregor's garden was a hit- especially since they were editable! Not only were the cake pops so realistic looking they were delicious AND held up beautifully on this hot summer day in June! Aside from all the planning, the hours I spent on Pinterest, the sweet design, craft nights and henry's adorable party face everyone had fun celebrating my boy. Henry was a hoot the whole day and it was everything I could have dreamed up for a little boy's first birthday party. He LOVED his cake and was an epic cake smasher! It was a blast to plan and even more exciting to see it all come together! I cannot wait to plan out Henry's NEXT birthday soiree! Feel free to pin these sweet images away! If you want to check out his party, take a peek here!
