backyard fun | Henry is 41 weeks old

For the past 41 weeks I have documented this little guys life at least once a week. I am so happy I stuck with it.

Most 'sessions' are impromptu (like this one) and they simply document my boy exactly how he is. Most require about 10 minutes of my time to shoot and about an hour in post processing, if I'm not being lazy. I will take around 50 shots and pick the best 10-20.

Henry is almost 10 months old. He enjoys bath time, giggling, giving mommy lots of sass, being outside and starring at people almost to that uncomfortable point. Henry does not enjoy shopping (he's all boy here), being told no or applesauce. If you want to hear him giggle- like grown baby man belly laugh- giggle hand him a little Yorkshire Terrier puppy. He SQUEALS with laughter. Henry can walk, say 'mama', eat chicken, and play with older kids. He is amazing. So glad he's allllllll mine.

oh, and I am glad he has my face too.

Seriously I love my backyard. It's like my very own private secret garden. It's filled with oranges, grapefruit, roses, gardenias, azaleas, Spanish oaks, pines, historic 1920's brick and even fuzzy little kumquats. Now... where did I misplace $330,000? :(

oh here's what I loved about march so far...

Peter Rabbit First Birthday party obsession in full swing, winning the knot's best of wedding photographer, giggling with henry, hanging out with my girlfriends and being reminded I'm only 26 and I can still have a social life aside from being a mom, shooting 2 seriously stunning weddings- one in key west and one in steinhatchee, getting healthy, gym ratting it up (I still hate planks!) cooking colorful meals, being horrible at making Zoku pops, buying bargains and spending too much money in target, taking henry to the park/zoo, watching henry get better from teething and ear infections, st. pattys day fun, spring time, blonde ombre hair, sleeping children and enjoying 'me' days of pedicures & Starbucks coffee. And if you aren't following me on instagram than you should... lots of henryspam there. (@alexmichelephotography)
