What an honor it is to shoot for another photographer's family! I mean, we need pictures too right?!! And I am so proud of Meredith for keeping at it. Far too often we push our own photo needs aside, but not this momma! I have known and been friends with the lovely Mrs. Meredith with Meredith Black Photography since 2010! She is an amazing child, newborn, and family photographer here locally in Jacksonville and a super sweet friend/colleague in the business. I have had the pleasure of documenting her family every year since and some in-between. Watching little miss Landyn grow has been such a treat! She is so super cute with those golden curly locks and all the sass you can stand for a 4 year old! ;)
This year we opted with a non traditional holiday session and went with the carnival for a backdrop. After all these years we start to run out of fresh ideas. From a wheat field to San Marco, then Alpine Groves Park, we knew we wanted something... different. And it ended up coming out awesome! Sometimes it's hard to shoot a session at a public place because you worry about people in the background and unforeseen rules or conditions, but this was a tiny little fair in The Avenues Mall parking lot and there was hardly anyone there. Thank goodness! And since it was such a last minute idea to shoot their session at the fair I brought Henry along for the ride. He was such a good little assistant, sitting so sweetly in his stroller, watching the rides go with goldfish and Lollacup in hand. Thanks Bud!
My favorite fair tokens are the bananas with Rastafarian hats, hot pink dolphin dolls, the red twinkling lights and the Ferris Wheel that always makes for the most playful shots. :) So without further ado, enjoy this super sweet, super colorful, super fun, super lovey and super giggly family session! We set out for a unique and fun family session and I think we accomplished just that. Enjoy their adventure!
P.s- I am obsessed with the mom and dad shots, so sexy!!! owww owww.
