Jamie + Matt | Treaty Oak + The Haskell Building Wedding in Jacksonville FL

Jamie + Matt felt more like friends than anything else. I have known these two through a mutual friend for a few years and was so excited to shoot their big day when they told me about it! They wanted a day that was all about them- they didn't fuss over silly stuff like bridesmaids and groomsmen or strict traditions. They were easy going and let the day be the most special day it could possibly be. Surrounded around their closest family and friends, they got married under the COOLEST TREE IN JACKSONVILLE (and also where Henry had his first birthday party) and had their reception at such a gorgeous, modern spot! These two venues (Treaty Oak + The Haskell Building) are truly Jacksonville's best kept secrets for weddings on a budget- they are unique and gorgeous and very affordable. And btw, you can rent any Jacksonville park for only $40 and they allow you to bring any rentals you chose! (Speaking of rentals, I have to send a big shout out to Luxe Party Rentals for supplying the best stuff in town.) Love those guys! Aside from all their beautiful rentals (hello did you see those benches?!!) I was swooning all day over the spring color palette of purples and greens, infusing garden and eco chic qualities, that fresh wheat grass (that teacher Jamie grew herself with her kids!!!) and the rustic touches of burlap, wood, and planters boxes. It really was just too pretty not to shoot 1,000 pictures of! Aside from all those lovely details and all their awesome choices, I just really loved working with them. They have such a sweet connection and it's so evident in their images. At their reception they danced overlooking Jacksonville's nighttime skyline in the glass enclosed room and I thought to myself, this couldn't be any more romantic if they tried. They took their last dance alone, no one in the room, and exited by boat on the St. Johns River! These cuties surely knew how to get married in style and with all the lovin' in the world. Enjoy a little taste of how pretty and how romantic their February day was!
