I met Kelly + Michael only a few months ago. They only needed me for a few hours, on a Wednesday evening, for a small low key wedding affair. Um yes please. And If you know me you know that I absolutely love shooting anything grand or small and lavish or intimate and this could not have been more perfect for my little photographers heart. Set upon the gorgeous dark sands of Ponte Vedra Beach (near Vilano Beach) amongst the Serenta Beach Club, the soon to be Barrancotto's had a lovely, warm day surrounded by their closest friends and family- only 30 guests in fact! It was so sweet and so romantic. The two wanted a non-fussy wedding with just a few details. Kelly's BEAUTIFUL bouquet was hand crafted by Liz Stewart Floral Design and her gown was a ooak online purchase AND on sale. Her toes twinkled with Betsey Johnson crystal embellishments and of course and the AMAZING girls at Frangipani Hair Studio dolled her right up and made her even more gorgeous than she already was. Hurricane Arthur set itself aside (thanking God!) and gave us the prettiest ethereal light and dark woven clouds that any natural light photographer could ever dream of wanting. It only started drizzling during the tail-end of the ceremony which only made for lots of giggles and creative fast thinking. And honestly, I love the tradition of rain being luck on your wedding day. For marriage truly is triumphing through the storms just as much as it is about celebrating the clear skies. I am so thrilled to present this gorgeous little wedding to you less than 24 hours after it happened. Best of luck to the newly weds as they walk hand and hand on a life-long, beautiful journey as one!
