Rain or shine, the 'I do's' must carry on! And even though we postponed the wedding from that Sunday to Monday everything carried on and went smoothly. Melanie was so upbeat and had the best, most postiive attitude about it. And it gave me two days to capture their adventure story! Between the rain and the puddles, we shot, and we managed to smile the whole time! When you are surrounded around that much love and hope, it doesn't matter what the weather is. Luckily we caught some Florida sunshine that Monday and boy am I thankful because I love how their images came out! Rain always has that ability to make everything look brand new and fresh again.
Melanie and Derrick came all the way from Canada to say their nuptials in gorgeous Duck Key FL at Hawk's Cay Resort! I have shot several weddings in Islamorada/surrounding areas and this was by far the nicest resort I have ever been to. I highly recommend it if you are planning your destination wedding! Oh and of course, bring me along if you do! I felt like I was in somewhere else, non Florida, like Bermuda or the Bahamas. It was simply PARADISE!
The wedding was as beautiful as it looked; It was fun, romantic, garden-inspired and perfectly sweet! These two had a party of about 25 guests and it made for the most intimate and special day. I was so overjoyed meeting these sweet families and spending a few days in paradise! Enjoy this scrumptious destination wedding! I surely had a blast shooting it and I LOVED snuggling their sweet little miss Quinn, too!
