travis + amanda {engagement}

When Amanda first contacted me about shooting her out of state- Bermuda Run, NC wedding I couldn't say yes fast enough! I absolutely love to travel when shooting weddings and this seemed like right up my alley! Their wedding style is vintage mixed with a rustic simplicity- creams, pinks, and navy. *swoooon* Aka- a photographers dream. I corresponded with Amanda for a few months until I finally had the pleasure of meeting her and Travis. These two are the type of couple you see in movies: so real, so sweet, so happy, and just so.in.love. I had an absolute blast shooting this couple! They were full of energy, giggles, and of you didn't notice terribly good looks. They have this quiet love about them that was honestly awe inspiring.

Post session, I asked Amanda more about her wedding style and decor and boy, she filled me in to my little baby photographers heart content! Navy & Pinks, Lily Pulitzer bridesmaid dresses, light grey suits, baby's breath bouquets, and eccccck small jars of various other flowers!!! Sounds like a sister wedding to my own :) :) And, as if that weren't perfect enough, these two are getting married in a restored barn which was originally a Dairy farm (hardwood floors, exposed beam vaulted ceilings, etc.), where they will wow their guest with an elegant brunch! Amanda & Travis, I am honored to be there to shoot your elegant rustic wedding in September where the whether will be crisp and perfect. I can hardly wait! Enjoy your best images from your engagement session!

After the session, Amanda emailed me her favorite part about it:

"We loved everything about it! Once of the biggest reasons we wanted you (besides your amazing work) was that we both used to live in Florida (I lived in Ocala and he lived in St. Pete). We lived there at different times but we both miss it a lot and would love to move back if life takes us there. I thought it would be nice to have our pictures there since that is a connection we share. Otherwise, I loved how comfortable you made us feel and the vision you have when just walking around a place -- the ability to see the poses, give good direction, and giving us honest feedback (I've had friends whose photographer didn't tell them that they way they were holding their heads gave them a double chin -- I am glad you say that stuff!). You took what little information you had about us and perfectly created something that we feel represents us very well! AWESOME! I love that you give sneak peeks and all my friends are commenting on how GREAT these are :) Haha, I love it! "
